About the Author

Jordan Nieland writes literary fantasy that interrogates belief, power, and the cost of personal agency. His fiction examines how belief and agency shape institutions—and what happens when those institutions decay beneath the same influences that built them.

Born in rural North Dakota, Jordan has been building worlds since childhood. Influenced by the works of Tolkien, Lewis, Dickens, and Hugo, he developed a deep appreciation for mythic structure, political consequence, and stories where characters are defined by their choices under pressure. His experience in theatre and lifelong practice of oral storytelling naturally drew him toward fantasy as a vehicle for exploring these concerns.

An avid fantasy cartographer and worldbuilder for over twenty years, Jordan has spent years refining the mythology, geography, and cultures that inhabit his imagined landscapes. His debut novel, The Song of Sava, is a character-driven political fantasy exploring how a nation's hunger for spiritual vision becomes the weapon used to enslave it.

When he isn't writing, Jordan enjoys spending time with his family, playing strategy games, and composing music—often while sketching the next map or outlining a new myth waiting to be told.
